RISING STARS PROGRAM

The Rising Stars Program is designed for skaters working on CanSkate Stages 4–6 who are ready to build on their fundamental skating skills and begin exploring figure skating in a more focused environment.

Rising Stars helps bridge the transition between CanSkate and our STAR programs. Skaters continue working toward their CanSkate badges while being introduced to figure skating skills such as jumps, spins, edges, stroking, and basic STAR-level skills.

Sessions provide a fun, supportive, and appropriately challenging environment where skaters can develop stronger skating technique, confidence, independence, and a love of figure skating.

Our coaching team works with skaters to strengthen the balance, control, and agility developed through CanSkate while introducing the skills and terminology they will encounter as they progress into STARSkate.

Who Is Rising Stars For?

Rising Stars is intended for skaters working on CanSkate Stages 4–6 who are ready for the next step in their skating development.

Your coach will let you know when your skater is ready to move into the Rising Stars program.

Skaters in Rising Stars may continue working toward their CanSkate badges while beginning to develop the skills needed for future progression into our Foundations/STARSkate programs.
