QCB UPLIFTER ACCOUNT SETUP GUIDE

 

If you are experiencing difficulty adding a participant, please see the Troubleshooting & Alternate Method section at the bottom of this guide.


A. Setting Up Your Family Account in Uplifter

  1. Click the LOGIN button in the upper right-hand corner
  2. Select Create Account and enter your Family Account information:
    • Account must be created in the Parent/Guardian’s name
    • All fields marked with a red (*) are required
    • ⚠️ Do NOT check “I will be registering myself into programs” unless you (the parent/guardian) will be skating. Checking this will create the parent as the participant instead of your child.
    • Enter your current home address
    • Select your preferences under Message List (see Communication Preferences below)
    • Once complete, click Continue

Update Your Communication Preferences

Important:
QCB communicates primarily through email and distribution lists generated through Uplifter.

We strongly recommend that you opt in to all Message List options to ensure you receive:

    • Important club updates
    • Service notifications
    • Upcoming registration information
    • Program changes and announcements

Staying opted in helps ensure you don’t miss important information throughout the season.


Add Your Skater(s)

    1. Click My Account (top right)
    2. Select Participants
    3. Click Add New Participant
    4. Enter all required details
    5. Add the skater’s Skate Canada Number (if returning)
    6. Click Add Participant

🔹 Repeat these steps for each skater in your family

⚠️ Important: Do NOT check “I would like to register myself into programs” when adding a child. This option is only if you are skating yourself.


B. Registering for Programs

  1. Click Registration in the menu bar
  2. Select the appropriate program/level
  3. Click Register
  4. Choose the correct skater

Complete Registration

    • You will have 30 minutes to complete checkout
    • After 30 minutes of inactivity, your cart will be cleared

Review & Accept Policies

    • Club policies
    • Skate Canada waiver (required)
    • Photo/Social Media policy 

Payment

    • Cash and cheque are not accepted
    • Payment is made via e-transfer to queenscountyblades@gmail.com
    • A confirmation invoice will be emailed to you
    • Please include the skater’s name and invoice number in your e-transfer message

🚨 Troubleshooting & Alternate Method (Adding a Participant)

If you are having trouble adding a participant, try the following:


1. “Registering Yourself” Was Selected

If you checked “I will be registering myself into programs”, the system creates the parent as the participant, and you may not see an option to add your child.

👉 Fix:

    • Go to My Account → Participants
    • Click Add New Participant and add your child there

2. Mobile Device Issues (Very Common)

Note: Using a mobile device can sometimes cause issues when adding a participant.

👉 Try this:

    • Use a computer if possible (recommended)
    • On phone:
      • Turn your phone to landscape (sideways)
      • Scroll all the way down—the button may be off screen
      • Try a different browser (Safari or Chrome)

👉 If issues persist, use the alternate method below


3. Alternate Method to Add a Participant

    1. Click Registration
    2. Select your program
    3. Click Register
    4. If your skater is not listed, click “New Participant”
    5. Enter their information

⚠️ Be sure NOT to select “register myself” when adding your child.
